Time warp! 2021 is almost a direct reflection of the 60s- from the protest culture to the items hanging up in the closet. This summer’s runway is taking many of its cues from the free spirited era that went down in history. From womens hemp tops to bell bottoms and more, here are four of our favorite style reruns that will taking over your feed this summer season…

Daisy Print

From tie up crop tops to embroidered shorts, daisy print is huge for the summer. We have seen it in a lot of mustard hued gingham looks, on ditsy maiden blue hues and on cute, lightweight denim jackets. If you don’t want to add new pieces to your wardrobe right now, consider iron on patches to improve on items you might be ready to part with.

Womens Hemp Tops, sustainable fabrics are a hit this year and the trend will likely continue. Gen Z is one of the most economically aware generations that we have seen since the 60s. Also very in touch with their spirituality, Gen Z is bringing back an era not only in fashion but in their commitment to bettering the world and themselves.

Bell Bottoms

Exaggerated bell bottoms are back and bigger than ever. Literally. Think the bell bottoms of the 60s but with a bigger circumference for a broader leg that flatters figures. These high rise looks accentuate the rear and make the waist look thin, evening out with the bigger bottomed leg flares that create an hourglass figure on just about any shape.

Flower Crowns

You may have saw a few of these already on your social medias and you will see more and more of them as we get even further into the warmer months. Some of our favorites are understated, leather braided flower crowns. They are great for everyday wear and can add just the right touch of 1960 flare to any outfit.

Chain Purses

Structured purses with chain straps are showing up everywhere from everyday looks to evening wear. Leather jeweled tones are hot for evening. Meanwhile, basket weaves are a great choice for daytime.

As we welcome summer and its warmer weather, sunny skies and beach-side days, let’s also welcome this blast from the past that is sure to not only make us look pretty darn amazing… but also make our grandmothers happy. It may be a trip down memory lane for us through photographs… but to them? It’s reliving their youth through us…

And that’s a win/win.
