The St Lucie County Fair is a time for all of the county to come together and celebrate everything that makes them proud. It’s no surprise that this event has been going strong since 1887 when it was established by local businessman, J.J. Northrop. This year marks the 125th anniversary of the fair, making it one of the oldest in Florida!

- Attendance for this year’s event has been projected to be about 50,000 people over its 14-day run. This doesn’t include surrounding events that take place before and after the fair! So it will probably be even more crowded than expected!
- After you’re done checking out all of the great booths at the fair, make sure you stick around for one of their concerts or shows taking place each night at St Lucie County Fair grounds! You can find a full lineup on their website. Their main stage performances start every evening at fair hours.
- The fair is definitely worth checking out this year before it ends on the day of St Lucia! So make sure you stop by at some point during the 14 days that they are open to taking in all of their great activities! Here’s what else there is to know about the fair :
- It’s a great way to spend your days off of school, so head on over! What is the definition of this fair? – The face painting, rides and games, live entertainment by top stars in country music as well as up & coming artists, livestock competitions at its core has always been about showcasing agriculture. At the heart of every agricultural show, you’ll find one thing: competition. Whether that be through livestock or produce contests there will be something for everyone who loves seeing friendly rivalry play out under bright lights.
- One other activity taking place during the fair is the annual parade. This year’s fair parade will be held on Saturday road, October 21st at 11:00 am. The route begins in front of city hall, 300 Blairstown, and ends down the main street for all to enjoy!
- Remember that admission into the fair is completely free if you have a student ID! Otherwise, it’ll cost $15 per person at the door. Parking for this event can be found off of Morrison blvd or Florida avenue with prices ranging from $20-$30 depending on where your parking spot happens to fall within these two streets.
